ANCOR DSP OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNER!

We’re thrilled to share that Kevin Brandolini, one of our Employment Program Coordinators, has been named a 2025 Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Year by ANCOR—the American Network of Community Options and Resources! Kevin received this honor based on his outstanding work and positive impact as an Employment Specialist, the role he held before stepping into his current role.
ANCOR is a national, nonprofit trade association that has been a leading voice in advocating for providers of services to people with disabilities since 1970. Each year, they honor a select group of DSPs across the country who exemplify excellence in their field, and this year, Kevin joins that distinguished group.
This national award recognizes the incredible contributions of DSPs who go above and beyond to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Kevin’s dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the individuals he supports embody what this award represents.
- Champions person-centered employment supports by taking the time to understand each individual’s goals, interests, and communication styles, helping individuals follow their passion and obtain meaningful and independent employment.
- Builds trusting and meaningful relationships by meeting individuals where they are, using creative ways to engage, and empowering them to advocate for themselves, such as supporting individuals speaking at a Yale medical panel to improve healthcare experiences for people with disabilities.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and collaboration by creating resource tools for staff, helping train new team members, and consistently supporting coworkers.
- Innovates for success and independence by developing personalized tools like checklists, picture-based guides, and organizational spreadsheets to help individuals thrive in employment settings.
- Advocates at every level: from speaking with employers about fair treatment to driving individuals to the state capitol to engage in legislative advocacy for disability services and nonprofit funding.
Please join us in congratulating Kevin on this well-deserved honor! We are so proud to have him on our team and grateful for the positive impact he makes every day.
Way to go, Kevin!
