Corey Celebrates Two Years Of Volunteering!

Corey, a dedicated individual from our Individualized Supported Employment (ISE) Program, recently celebrated two years of volunteering with the East Haddam Historical Society & Museum. He has a deep passion for history and a strong connection to his hometown.

Every week, Corey volunteers for four hours at the museum. He contributes in meaningful ways during his shifts. Over time, Corey has grown more independent in his role and now completes his shift with minimal involvement from his Employment Specialist.

Corey’s responsibilities include setting up the roadside display board to promote upcoming events, cleaning and maintaining exhibits and rooms throughout the museum. His commitment and love for history shine through in everything he does.

What is our Individualized Supported Employment (ISE) Program?

Individualized Supported Employment (ISE) services are programs designed for individuals who are ready to secure and maintain competitive employment. Once an individual secures meaningful employment, they will transition to receiving “on-the-job support” from an Employment Specialist. As their confidence grows and they become more proficient in the new job, their on-the-job support will be adjusted to reflect your increasing independence in the role.
