Natasha Thrives at the Westbrook Town Hall!

As we continue to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re proud to highlight Natasha. She is supported by Individualized Supported Employment Program.
Natasha currently works at Westbrook Town Hall, where she’s gaining valuable experience and building essential skills. Her responsibilities include filing land permits, labeling archived forms and boxes, and shredding outdated documents. Most recently, she is learning to operate the map scanning machine. This new skill allows her to digitize older maps onto a flash drive for the town inspector.
Through her daily tasks, Natasha has made remarkable progress in her reading and writing. She has grown socially through her interactions with her supportive coworkers. She especially enjoys greeting her colleagues and sharing stories about her day, creating meaningful connections in the workplace.
What is our Individualized Supported Employment (ISE) Program?
Individualized Supported Employment (ISE) services are programs designed for individuals who are ready to secure and maintain competitive employment. Once an individual secures meaningful employment, they will transition to receiving “on-the-job support” from an Employment Specialist. As their confidence grows and they become more proficient in the new job, their on-the-job support will be adjusted. This adjustment reflects your increasing independence in the role.
